Tempo is an AI-powered home gym. Its primary product, the Tempo Studio, is a 6-foot tall device that functions as a virtual personal trainer within the comfort of your home. It leverages AI to provide personalized training, real-time form corrections, and customized workout plans.

Tempo Studio's AI-powered experience extended across multiple platforms—the Tempo Studio and complementary experiences on IOS and Andoid mobile apps and the Apple Watch. The Tempo team lacked a consistent design system creating inconsistencies and affecting feature growth and scalability. Engineering teams were creating features without proper design and product direction. 

As the company's first designer, I was responsible for creating a cohesive design system. I converted the existing disorganized Sketch files to Figma and developed a comprehensive design language. I also created design rules and guidelines for using the system. I worked closely with engineering teams to retroactively apply the design system and to establish a system for new features. As new designers joined, I trained them on the design system. As we introduced new features, we worked closely to expand and enhance the system.
